2 Days 1 Night the Hidden Charm of Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai

 

 

Day 1

Leave from Thaton by air conditional van about 1 hour and half, stop at the Thai coffee shop from the Royal Project Baan Huay Luck to visit the Hmong hill tribevillage, a community known for its unique culture and colorful costumes dress, then continue to Thaton enjoy seeing the landscapes, crossing the mountainous and valley.

Lunch will be provided at the Thai restaurant by the Mae Kong River.

After lunch, an experience by the long tail boat for 3 hours along the Mae Kok river to visit the Lahu hilltribe, who move from the southern part of China. Overnight in Chiang Rai. Dinner at Thai restaurant.

 

Day 2  

Mae Sai-Golden Triangle-Long neck village White Temple- Chiang Mai

An early morning drive 1 hour to Mae Sai the Thai-Burmese border market. You can see the Burmese, the hill-tribes cross the border to do their shopping. Then continue to the Golden Triangle, the opium trade area in the old day and you can see the three countries meet, Thailand, Myanmar, Lao. Visit the Opium House, learn the story about where the Opium from. On the way back visit the Long neck village "Pa dong" observe their lifestyle. The women wear several brass rings around their long slender necks. They are originated from Shan state, The Union of Myanmar.

Lunch will be provided.

 

After lunch visiting the White Temple as we know in Thai name Wat Rong Khun.(designed by the famous national artist)Then on the way stop at the Hot Spring at Mae kha Jan ,continue to Chiang Mai for overnight.
